主要从事复杂系统智能控制研究，先后荣获广西自然科学奖一等奖(第一完成人)、广西青年科技奖(第一完成人)、中国自动化学会自然科学奖二等奖(第一完成人)，入选科睿唯安全球高被引科学家、爱思唯尔中国高被引学者榜单，美国斯坦福大学和Elsevier联合发布的全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。

现担任 IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems、IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems等国际期刊编委。
