报告题目：Continued Gravitational Collapses for Gaseous Stars

报告摘要：We construct gravitational collapsing solutions to the Euler-Poisson system for \gamma<4/3. The densities blow up at the origin, while the total mass of the star is losing at the origin continuously until the whole star vanishes. This is a joint work Mahir Hadzic and Juhi Jang.

报告人简介：郭岩教授1987年在北京大学获得学士学位，1993年在美国布朗大学获得博士学位。1993至1995年在柯朗研究所担任Courant Instructor, 1997至1998年在普林斯顿大学担任助理教授，1998年至今在布朗大学应用数学系工作，先后担任助理教授、副教授和教授，现任布朗大学应用数学系主任。

郭岩教授是国际上偏微分方程领域著名的学者，在Boltzmann方程、Landau方程等Kinetic理论方面，流体稳定性与不稳定性以及流体边界层等方面均作出了杰出贡献，享有极高的学术声誉，发表学术论文100余篇，包括在Ann. Math.，J.Amer.Math.Soc.，Invent. Math.等国际顶尖数学期刊发表论文多篇。郭岩教授是美国自然科学基金委员会评委，曾获得美国NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship、Sloan Research Fellowship和Simons Fellow。曾任北京大学长江学者讲座教授，现担任/曾担任包括 SIAM J.Math.Anal.，Kinetic and Related Models多种杂志的副主编或编委。2013年在第六届华人数学家大会上做一个小时特邀报告，2016年担任ICM PDE Panelist，2017年入选美国数学会Fellow。
