摘要:There has been an increased emphasis on integrating problem posing into curriculum and instruction with the promise of potentially providing more and higher quality opportunities for students to learn mathematics as they engage in problem-posing activities. In this presentation, I will first provide a careful analysis of theoretical perspectives why P-PBL works for improving students’ learning.  Then I will present a P-PBL instructional model, with a focus on discussing four essential practices about P-PBL as well as how teachers learning to teach through problem posing. I will end the presentation by showing the effect of P-PBL on students and pointing out the future direction of research related to P-PBL.
